If you are looking to improve the ride of a suspension or rigid frame you need Original Chopper Shox. Only original Chopper Shox has the feature that you need. Copy cat systems do not have 6 years of R&D into making your ride comfortable. Only we can offer a comfortable ride for riders between 115-425lbs. Don't be fooled with others selling look alike systems. We have seen first hand the poor quality of the shocks and the springs that have no give. We can exchange springs to get the perfect ride. This is only for 3 months after a verifiable purchase from Chopper Shox. Customers pay all shipping and springs must be in original undamaged condition. Call with any questions.
Does Chopper Shox sell tabs,hardware packs, springs or other parts separately?
Yes, but only to customers who have purchased from us directly or can provide a verifiable order number. We do not sell springs to customers who have purchased low quality knock-off products. Please do not ask for us to do so. It is a liability for us to do so and we do not fix inferior copies problems. We only sell through a limited amount of dealers and we do not have any stocking dealers since we offer so many options. Beware of what you buy online. We are the originators and the best. What spring finishes does Chopper Shox offer?
We offer polished or brushed 18-8 stainless steel, polished copper, black nickel and real 24k gold and powder coat in gloss black and satin black. We do not offer chrome plating since chrome rusts. Our copper, black nickel and gold springs are clear coated to prevent tarnishing.
Does Chopper Shox have any stocking dealers?
No. Chopper Shox has so many rider weight and options that it is impossible for them to stock all of our options in the exact combinations you desire.
What features do Chopper Shox have? Dampening? Finishes? Weights?
Adjustable preload nut to fine tune spring rate. Springs are available in different spring rates and we can do a system for riders 115lbs through 450lbs. Our shox are not dampened. Dampenening is only for long travel shocks and do nothing for short travel shocks. Our bodies are machined and then clear anodized. They can be polished by stripping the anodizing off, no we do not offer polished bodies.
What frames do Chopper Shox fit?
Chopper Shox fit all frames from Harley to Honda.. You will need to measure the outside frame rails to determine seat pan size. Also know if your frame needs flat or round lower tabs. This is the cross tube where the battery or oil bag is (in front of rear fender)
Can Chopper Shox bodies be powder coated?
No. Do not attempt to powder coat Chopper Shox bodies. They will melt internally if heated.
What is the minimum or maximum rider weights?
We can accomodate riders from 115lbs through 400 lbs.? Our products are made from high strength steel and can handle whatever you can throw at it, The maximum rider weight on a single shock is safely at 200lbs max. Heavier riders will wear out single shox faster.
What warranty does Chopper Shox offer?
All of Chopper Shox parts are the highest quality. Chopper Shox and offers a 6 month limited warranty from the date of purchase to the original purchaser with original receipt and Chopper Shox product stickers intact on the shox. We recommend a certified welder or motor cycle shop install all items. Warranty exclusions include single shox and any damage from installations. If failure is from improper installation all warranties are voided. We do not warranty single shocks due to the inherent problem of side rock.
Do single Shox have side rock?
Yes. All single shox willhave some side to side rock. We recommend dual shocks over singles. Spring rates are adjusted for rider weight and we take this into account when shox are ordered.
What rider weight category do I choose if I am at the bottom of a weight class?
If you are at the bottom of a weight class, choose the lighter weight categories or the spring may be stiff. Example. If you weight 176lbs do not choose the 175-225lbs, instead choose the 115-175lbs. We can exchange springs if no damage is present . Customer pays all shipping costs.
